Who is responsible

Better Today [COMPANY DETAILS]. The person responsible for your information under POPIA is the head of the business, and you can reach them at info@bettertoday.co.za.

What we collect

Your email address. Your answers to the sleep quiz, which include health information: how you sleep, medication you take, health conditions you tell us about, and how you have been feeling. Your order and payment reference. Basic technical information about your visit, such as the pages you opened and the type of device you used.

Why we collect it

To write your sleep plan and send it to you. To take your payment. To answer you when you email us. That is the whole list.

Your consent, and what happens without it

Health information is treated as special personal information under POPIA. We may only use it with your specific, voluntary and informed consent, which we ask for as its own tick box at checkout, before you pay. Ticking it is voluntary. If you do not tick it, we cannot write your plan, so you should not buy one.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@bettertoday.co.za. Withdrawing stops any further use of your answers. It cannot undo the writing of a plan you have already received.

Where your answers go

Your answers are stored on servers in Europe, operated by our hosting providers on our behalf. To write the words of your plan, your answers are sent to our writing tool, which is operated in the United States under a data processing agreement with protections comparable to those POPIA requires. That is the only place your answers go outside this business.

Your answers are never sold. They are never sent to advertising platforms. Our advertising and analytics tools never receive a quiz answer, a medication name or any health signal.

How long we keep it

Your plan and the answers behind it are kept so that your permanent plan link keeps working, and so we can help you if something goes wrong. If you ask us to delete them, we delete them and confirm by email, usually within a few days. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and company law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and object to what we do with it. Email info@bettertoday.co.za and tell us which. We will answer as quickly as we can.

If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

Cookies and measurement

We use a small number of cookies to keep your quiz session working and to measure how many people reach each page. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and no quiz answer is attached to any of them.

If something goes wrong

If your information is ever accessed by someone who should not have it, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as soon as we reasonably can, in writing, and say what happened and what to do about it.
